Artificial intelligence and your media
To write your film’s voice-over, regenia.io uses Mistral AI, acting as a data processor.
What is sent: the film’s title, dates and places, any text entered in “What is this film about?” and, if the “Analyse my images” box is ticked, a few reduced images from your film (up to 8 per chapter). These images may show people, including children. Your full videos are not sent.
Why: Mistral AI describes these images so that the voice-over matches what the film shows, then rereads the text.
Retention: regenia.io keeps no separate copy of the images sent. The descriptions and voice-over text are kept on our servers while the film exists, and erased when you delete or regenerate it. An audio copy of the voice-over may remain in our technical cache. At Mistral AI, retention follows that provider’s terms. This data is not used to train Mistral AI’s models.
Your choice: you can decline sending images by unticking “Analyse my images” when creating the film; the voice-over is then more general.
Before importing images of other people, make sure you have their consent or that of their legal representatives.
Your GDPR rights
You can request access to, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data. Write to us via the Contact page. You may also contact the CNIL. You can also delete your account yourself from the My account page.
